The Red Baron video slot is one of Aristocrat Gaming’s most successful video slots. Based on the high-flying German pilot, Baron Manfred von Richthofen (nicknamed the Red Baron), the slot is a World War I air-battle themed slot.  Red Baron offers Aristocrat’s 243 ways to win feature, via its Reel Power structure. You don’t have to play with all of them, though, unlike other slots with a similar number of paylines. Players can select how many reels they wish to play with in this slot (yes, it is crazily original), and that will alter the number of lines they have open to them. Bets range from 0.01 up to 2.00 per line, giving the slot minimum and maximum wagers of 0.01 per line, per spin, and 50.00 per spin, respectively. Up to 1,500 coins can be won via this slot’s non-progressive jackpot.

Special Features

Wild symbols are disguised as medal in this game, and they can replace all other symbols in the game, barring target icons. Wilds can only appear on the third reel during the free spins bonus round, and can offer multipliers which are worth either 2x, 3x, or 5x the total value of the winnings.

Scatter icons appear as target symbols. Three of these on the second, third, and fourth reels of the game will see you bag a 5x multiplier against your total bet, as well as trigger a free spins bonus round in the Red Baron slot.

A gamble feature has also been included in this game, but you stand a 50% chance of success or less, so it is hardly worth mentioning. It can be activated after any spin, if you desire to use it.

Bonus Feature

Once the bonus gets started, players will begin with a total of 15 free games. They must decide which mission they wish to undertake, too. Upon the reels of the bonus game, planes can appear, the number of planes you land determines whether or not your mission is a success, and whether you will land your multiplier bonus based on the mission you choose.

Mission 1 promises a 10x multiplier for 4 planes appearing on the reels. Mission 2 promises a 15x multiplier for 8 planes, whilst Mission 3 offers a 25x multiplier for collecting 12 planes. Collect 16 planes with Mission 4 and you can win a 60x multiplier, whilst a 140x multiplier is available for collecting 20 or more planes in Mission 5. If you collect 25 or more planes with Mission 6, you will bag an additional 40x multiplier on top of whatever mission you choose.
