About Roaring Forties

Roaring Forties is a very basic, very primitive video slot. It has been designed and developed by Novomatic, and is kind of an amalgamation between a video slot in terms of structure, and a classic slot in terms of imagery. The Roaring Forties slot takes its name from the fact that it contains a total of 40 paylines for you to bet on over its 5 reels. The slot won’t allow you to adjust the number of lines you play with, but you can adjust the value of your coins from 0.01 up to 2.00. Minimum floor bets are fixed at 0.40 per spin. Maximum capped ceiling bets will cost 80.00 per spin. Players can win as much as 2,000 coins in this non-progressive video slot.

Special Features

Novomatic’s Roaring Forties slot does contain a wild symbol, and it comes in the appearance of an explosion emblem with the word “wild” written across it. The wild symbol can replace all other symbols in the game, barring scatter icons. Wilds do not have any monetary value on their own, though, which is a bit of a shame.

Roaring Forties also contains a star symbol, and that icon acts as a scatter. It can offer you scatters winnings worth 2x, 20x, or 200x your total bet. These symbols count no matter where they land on the reels, boosting your chances of a win. As mentioned, though, wilds cannot replace them.
