The zombie genre has become really popular appeals to our sense of morbidity or touching the occult and the unnatural. Lost Vegas teach your journey through Las Vegas after a zombie apocalypse and you can choose to take on the roles of the survivors or the zombies. Microgaming has a winning formula here with its five reel slot that has 243 ways to win. These ways are not adjustable so you will have to rely changing the coin denomination to make any differences.

There are two different modes to choose from: the survivors and the zombies. The best part is that you get to switch at any time you wish. The modes will determine how the free spins features will take place. Otherwise the standard rules apply that you need three of a kind order to make a combination.

Special Features

In either game mode you have the opportunity to randomly trigger the Zombie Fist of Cash feature. Simply spinning the wheels will eventually unlock the opportunity for a zombie’s fist to reach and give you a cash prize. This is completely random but quite a welcome change from them trying to kill you.

A welcome sight is the Lost Vegas logo which takes the role of the Wild. It still works whether you’re a survivor or a zombie.

Bonus Feature

Biohazard scatters will fulfil different roles depending on the mode being played. For the Survivors having three or more scatters opens the Survivor Free Spins feature in which the Jack, King, Queen and Ace are taken off the reels and placed in your stash prize pool. The slot is re-spun and any new combinations are paid out in this will keep going until all the playing card symbols have been removed and you are given your pay out. Keep in mind that you need three or more hazard scatters for this to work.

Zombie mode is activated in the same way but the Zombie Free Spins feature is quite different. The idea here is to infect all the symbols with zombies. How this works is that you need a full Zombie symbol stack to infect the reel for the duration of the feature. This has the added bonus of infecting wild symbols and making them become stacked wilds. This will continue until all five reels are fully stacked with either zombies or wilds. An added cash bonus awaits anyone who can survive for a full 50 free spins in this mode.

Even when you don’t win on a spin there’s a chance to activate the Blackout Bonus. The screen becomes dark as if a blackout has occurred and thermal goggles are activated. The respective survivors or zombies are highlighted and cash prizes are awarded for them. You need at least one scatter to appear for this to work.
