About Freibier
With a name like Freibier, this Novomatic developed slot machine game was only ever going to be about one thing, right? Wrong. As well as being a beer-loving slot, this title also focuses on some of the other aspects of Oktoberfest, such as cakes, nibbles and treats. In this regard, it is quite different from many of the other we commonly see in the casino world. Freibier is played over 5 reels and 40 adjustable paylines, with players able to stake anything from 0.01 up to 1.00 per line. Minimum and maximum wagers stretch from 0.01 per line per spin up to 40.00 per spin in all then. If you can land 5 of the scatter symbols (beer kegs) anywhere on the reels during a single spin, you can win a non-progressive prize which is capped at 800 coins in all, which modest in relation to your total bet.
Special Features
Wild symbols show up as pints of beer in this game. These frothy, golden delights can substitute for all other symbols in the game, save for scatters. Notably, wild symbols can only show up on the second, third and fourth reels of the slot, and thus do not offer scattered wins on their own accord.
Scatter icons appear as beer kegs, as mentioned. These symbols can dish out the best-prizes in the game, but they can also trigger a free spins bonus round if 3 or more appear anywhere on the reels during a single base game spin.
Bonus Feature
In Freibier’s free spins bonus round, players will either start with 12, 15 or 20 free games, depending on whether they landed 3, 4 or 5 of the slot’s scatter icons. During the feature, an extra wild symbol will be chosen from the standard paying symbols available. Additional wilds are added to the second, third and fourth reels during every free spin, which helps you land wins. Landing scatter icons on the third or fourth reels during the feature, and all remaining reels will be re-spun, giving you a second chance at landing the necessary scatters to pull off a big win. It is important to note that the free spins cannot be retriggered by landing more scatters on the reels, though.
