This version of the game uses all of the same rules as “Atlantic City Blackjack.” You're allowed to split any two cards that are of a ten value, whether they match or not. You can also split any other pairs and, other than Aces, keep splitting up to three times more. The only difference in this “Gold Series” from Microgaming is that the game has been designed to create a more elegant and realistic appearance.

Special Features

Atlantic City Blackjack Gold seems to have an invisible hand running the game. The cards don't just appear as they do in most online Blackjack games. When they are dealt, you can see them coming out of the shoe from the side of the table. The invisible hand also seems to grab the cards when they need to be discarded.

The simulated table at which the game is conducted has been designed to resemble high-quality furniture, with expensive-looking wood circling around the felt. You can also hear the chips rattling as they move around the table.

Object

The rules of Atlantic City Blackjack which this game uses offer some changes which favour the player and others that don't. The game is always played with eight decks which are always shuffled before the cards are dealt. Another rule which is not friendly for the players only allows Aces to be split once. The rules also will not give you the standard 3-2 payoff for blackjack if you get a ten-card after splitting Aces.

More favourable to the player is the rule which forces the Dealer to stand on 17 even if it is a soft 17. You are also allowed to surrender after you get your first two cards.
